  • Recognize their individual strengths and challenge themselves to achieve at higher levels
  • Understand others, appreciate diversity, and act as global citizens

About the School

Dual Language & Arts Magnet Middle School serves students in grades 6, 7, and 8. The school provides a comprehensive core curriculum that empowers students to understand academic content,  themselves, and the world, and prepares each learner with the competencies necessary to thrive in the 21st century.

Students develop communication skills in both Spanish and English within a multicultural setting. Understanding of Spanish language and culture is strengthened through direct daily classroom instruction and electives courses.

Students experience music, art and theater within the classroom and through partnerships with the local arts community. Arts enrichment and exposure occur via instructional programs, visiting artists, and field excursions.

Students who attend Dual Language & Arts Magnet Middle School:

  • Learn Spanish language and/or Latin American culture every day;
  • Choose electives classes in areas such as science, technology, engineering, arts, humanities, and wellness;
  • Build trusting relationships with adults and peers in a small learning environment;
  • Engage in student-centered learning experiences that offer personal relevance and real-world applications; and
  • Create innovative content with iPads, Chromebooks, and laptops for all students.
